Showing God's Love and Mercy
I graduated from Western Seminary with a MA Counseling degree in 2010. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I also have assisted individuals with relationship and career challenges.
I began this work because I have a heart for helping others. I love to see others grow through challenges that life presents all of us, and to come out stronger on the other side.
My approach to therapy incorporates a Christian worldview with cognitive methods and a strength-based, person-centered approach. While Christian values are an inherent aspect of my therapy, out of care and respect, I do not impose my beliefs onto individual’s served. I view counseling as a collaborative effort between counselor and individual served. My goal as therapist is to help individuals identify personal needs, understand conflicts, discover new options, and make informed choices. I like to be sure that the people I work with feel heard and understood as individuals, not diagnoses. It is imperative that the treatment modality used not only supports the symptoms and challenges of the individual, but coincides with the individual’s goals for treatment.
